January where did you go?

Happy New Year guys! This is my first official post here on my own Blog for 2014. What do I mean by first official post? Well, I'm lucky to be a contributor on a couple other sites and I have a couple posts that already came out this year. So what have I been up to? Where have I been? Let see...

Right around the strike of New years we saw these 3 hovering lights above us and they seemed to be following each other in a triangle formation. My brother said Aliens! I snapped a quick photo and we giggled about it until we saw real news reports about lights just like this being seen in Southern states that same night! Lights that no one could identify. Crazy right? We had a "The Truth is out There" moment

Our kitchen went through major Home Repairs! Everything got moved and we got a new floor. We got a new counter and shelves and sink and more! Meanwhile all this was going on we couldn't cook. And if you know me then you know I cook 99% of the time every meal we eat. Well I went crazy and it stinks because it coincided with the week long stomach bug my family went through. My kiddo threw up 10 times on one day then it just spread from family member to family member till the house was a Hot zone of infection. Thankfully we finally felt better and my first cooked meal in the new kitchen was chicken soup. Ps this photo was of my kiddo putting the first drops of paint on the wall to bless our new kitchen. 

If you live in the south then you know how rough it was during this month with the unusually low temps (said not sarcastically REALLY). How yes school was cancelled and our cities shut down. Well it was scary! And our city to make light of this time used the hashtag #Raspageddon to chronicle it across social media. Meanwhile if you are in a Northern state you made some pretty memorable memes about us. 

And of course when little bits of sunshine and warmth shined through we went outdoors and soaked it up! That is how I spent most of January.

Project 52: Week 23

It sure feels like summer in San Antonio! This past week has been a good one. My kiddo has been experimenting with my camera and doing some self photography! I created a list of 75 summer fun ideas that will help us make it through this hot summer. And this week I was over at Gummy Lump sharing about the theater I made with my munchkin and the finger puppet show we put on, so go and check it out.

Fun Learning about Bones at Gummy Lump

Project 52: Week 19 (Mothers Day)

This past week has been a pretty good one besides the storm. We spent a lot of time outdoors and had fun! We chased and got chased around by a lizard. I posted 3 photos of the lizard hiding in a rose bush and a lot of people wrote to me that they couldn't find it! I felt so bad! So I am going to share where the lizard was in all 3 photos. If you haven't seen the pictures and don't want to know yet where the lizard was then dont read ahead past where I marked it! You can find all 3 pictures here not yet marked.

Also today is Mothers Day! (Did you check out my Mothers Day craft? If you missed it you can see it here)Today I celebrate Mothers Day with my family. We will be outside all day having a big family BBQ. It will be a day full of love and Happiness and of course good food. Hope you had a great week and have a beautiful Mothers day!

Happiness is... (Week 9)

Happiness is... playing outdoors and finding new friends. This lizard followed us everywhere! Can you spot him? 

Happiness is... watching our caterpillars grow! Have I told you we collected 5 Caterpillars before we cut the grass and have been taking care of them for almost a week? Its fun and we are learning every day a little more about them.

Happiness is... (Week 7)

Happiness is... my munchkin finally wanting to learn to ride a bike! Its very exciting to see him so enthusiastic about it. Every day for the past 3 days now all I hear from him is "please lets go outside to ride bike...please" Wish Him luck! 

Happiness is... bringing out all the Cascarones that were left over from Easter and having a confetti fight outside regardless of the date. (To be honest I was kinda saving them for Fiesta since we didn't use them all on Easter, but now were going to need some more for Fiesta)

Happiness is... Kittens! Did I mention that on Easter we were blessed with the birth of 4 adorable kittens? My munchkin is obsessed with them and there baby meows! I would like to think that my sweet Gilbert was reincarnated in one of them. 

Happiness is... Free goodies! Like the ones we got at The HEB Healthy family Expo this past weekend including my munchkins new bike helmet. This is nothing compared to how much we brought home (includes tooth brushes, crayon packs, coloring books, pads, tampons, snacks of all sorts, pill containers, tooth paste, and even fresh fruit)

Happiness is... seeing people walk/race for a cause that should be dear to every person in this world... man or women. 

Happiness is... my latest craft on Gummy Lump. I made a DIY Pretend Garden with Munchkin and since it came out last Thursday it has only been met with kind words and I really appreciate everyone who has checked it out and g+ and pinned it. Thank you for your support!

Project 52: Week 14

We finally did get more out of the house this past week. 

We went downtown Saturday morning and caught a glimpse of The Komen race for the cure. We then went to The HEB Healthy Family Expo and it was fun getting all the freebies and full sized samples (some small ones too), plenty of coupons and even a kids zone where my munchkin played safety bingo and won a bike helmet. Its great actually because he never wanted to try riding his bike, but as soon as we got home thats all he kept asking me to do. 

Sadly I twisted my foot Saturday afternoon and could barely walk on it so no bike riding that day. By Sunday it did feel a lot better but I ended up missing Siclovia! I was upset because I knew I had to rest my foot (especially to keep up with my kiddo) but I really had wanted to go. Now I have to wait for the next Siclovia. 

Did you miss my latest craft on Gummy Lump? Its a DIY Pretend Garden. Munchkin had a lot of fun with this one! We made flowers, garden markers, seed packets, a caterpillar, butterfly and even a bee. Its a fun way to get your kiddo involved with plants and even an opportunity to learn about plant growth and the life cycle of a caterpillar. So be sure to check it out!

Project 52: Week 9

Project 52: Week 9

Hello March! Its now March and soon it will be Saint Patricks day on the 17th and then Easter on the 31st (yep Easter is this month) and so far this month has been pretty good to me. Here's my past week:

We had fun outdoors playing with chalk and enjoying the sunshine. We went grocery shopping and there are lots of cute Easter things to buy! (Most you can cheat a little and DIY). Munchkin met some nice Police men downtown who gave him an adorable Police sticker he proudly wore calling himself a Copicer (mix of cop and officer). We started decorating the fence and we went to the Zoo! It was a great week!

Plus I was over at Gummy Lump again! This was my second time over there making some fun kids crafts. My first is a fun craft making your own Zoo using paper plates! 

The second craft is making Keychains out of your old puzzle pieces.

Hi there everyone! I am so excited to announce that I am over at Gummy Lump Today! I am so happy to be able to share with you my Paper Plate Zoo! 

I am so Thankful to them for having me over to be able to share some fun with others. I made a craft using paper plates to make your own Indoor Zoo! This is a great craft for kids to do when they cant go play outside when its cold but don't let that stop you! You can make your own Zoo and play with it outside too no matter what the weather may be!
