I am sharing a super easy craft you can do with your kiddo that they can give you as a Mothers Day gift. Its a sweet bracelet and a jewelry box. Kid made gifts are always the best so I hope your kiddos have fun making you a special one!

Making Cascarones (Easter confetti Eggs)
You just take a clean egg put glue over the areas slowly (I just rubbed it on with my finger one area at a time) and start laying out your stars. I put them so you could still see they were stars and have a bit of small space between them. Its really easy because the stars feel almost like tissue paper so they stick on very easy and conform to the oval shape of the egg.
You don't need a lot of glue and the stars seem to last forever. I used some last year and I still have some for this year. They look so pretty and they will make really cute gifts for friends. Plus they are handmade and that makes them even more special.
Munchkin helped me too! You would normally see confetti on the inside of a cascaron but we put it on the outside too and made them look cute! I gave munchkin some eggs we had dyed with kool- aid (already dry) and I wanted to make them a bit more festive so I gave munchkin glue and confetti and let him glue it on. He loved it because it was fun and messy, but they end up pretty cute.
After you have your eggs decorated you get some tissue paper and cut out a circle out of the tissue paper a little bit bigger than the size of the hole opening in your egg, fill the egg with confetti or glitter (glitter will be so tough to get out of hair though, just warning you) and then use a little bit of glue to stick the tissue paper circle over the hole opening on the egg to seal in the confetti. Be sure to let your eggs dry and they will be ready for your Easter or Fiesta celebration to smash on someones head (For the smaller kids I personally have always broken the egg in my hand before putting all the confetti over them, it also helps them feel included without the owie risk).
Have fun decorating and making your Easter special! For more Easter ideas check out my Easter board on Pinterest here!

Easter Chalk Fun
On a bright sunny day what else could we do but go outside, have fun and enjoy the sunshine? We brought out some chalk and munchkin went to coloring on the floor. He was making Easter eggs with me and I was making some Easter baskets with eggs inside! He helped me color some in and even drew a couple on his own. He even tried making a bunny!
Here are some pictures of our fun:
It was a fun time and I think during our Easter BBQ we are going to put out a big tub of chalk for the kiddos to make there own Easter fun on the driveway. Its also a good learning opportunity on shapes. Eggs are ovals not circles and munchkin is great with his circle but still has trouble making an oval. I have to remind him egg... It looks like an egg. But once you remind him he does a pretty good job. I think it will be great for them on Easter and also a great decoration for us to have on our driveway. We will be sure to take pictures of them next to it as a keepsake. Hope you try it it out. Even if not on Easter, maybe before so that it helps with your Easter decorating outside!

Easter Basket Cupcakes
I wanted to share with you the cupcakes I made last year for my family's Easter BBQ. They are super easy to make and cute too! Plus they make great treats to give as gifts!
For the cupcake itself use whatever recipe you normally use. Lets just say for this purpose you already made the cupcakes and let them cool off.
Ingredients:
Directions:
Now that your cupcakes are cool gather your materials. At my local grocery store every year they have edible grass in various colors. Its one giant long strand rolled up like a rope in the package. I get clean scissors just for the purpose of cooking and cut off a piece of the strand. I then cut up the grass into small little snippets. I put that to the side. (This will work almost like sprinkles)
I then frosted my cupcakes in chocolate so that it looked like dirt. Of course you can do this in any color you want. I then while the frosting was still fresh put the snippets of candy grass onto the frosting so that now I have a base of dirt with grass.
I then used a package of Rainbow Twizzlers. It literally has various colors of Twizzlers in one pack instead of the normal all red package. I separate one out from the bunch and I dig one end into one edge of the cupcake then the other end into the opposite side so as to form a handle for my basket. This is another reason why you don't want your cupcake still warm because it will break apart when the Twizzlers go through, but when cooled off it will fit right in and stay firm.
Now I had my basket with grass and I grab a bunny to put inside. I used the bunny peeps to do this and they are fun because they come in different colors! You will most likely have to shorten the peeps height but that will also depend on the size of Twizzlers you use. Just use scissors and cut to fit if needed.
I then got a bag of jelly beans to use as Easter eggs in my cupcake basket and some are speckled so they look like eggs even more so!
Ta-da! You now have an Easter Basket cupcake!
You can make these with various candies and different sized eggs. I made some using gum eggs and hard candy eggs. I also used little bunny toppers on some, and some are just baskets with only eggs so just be creative, have fun and Enjoy!
Hope you have a great Easter with these on your table!

Project 52: Week 8
Project 52: Week 8
Hi there! Another week has come and gone so quickly! Can you believe February is ending in a couple of days and then its March! Yep, too quick. Not only that but this year Easter is in March so if you haven't started planning, then you are already late. Don't worry, its not your fault! We normally celebrate Easter in April so this year it just sneaks in right after St. Patrick's day.
This past week we went to SeaWorld San Antonio for Wild Days and had lots of fun! It was our first visit of the new season and we cant wait to go back! We had fun wearing some new fashionable pieces in our hair and we started getting ready for Easter! yep, I went through the storage and got out all the Easter baskets and grass and fun eggs. I also have been making pretty much only scrambled eggs (instead of sunny side up) so I can save the eggs in order to make cascarones. Its so much fun to make your own cascarones rather than spending money on them.
How was your past week? Share your Project 52 with me!
If you are looking for some fun St. Patricks Day ideas check out my St. Patricks Day board on Pinterest!
I also have a Board full of yummy food, basket ideas and decorations for Easter so check that out!

Project 52: Week 5
Project 52: Week 5
This week things felt like they were becoming normal again. We got back into our normal routine and Happiness seemed to come our way. The weather was so warm and sunny outside. We went to blow bubbles and stare at clouds.
We went back to Play and Learn (which we missed so dearly). Plus, we got a little closer to Valentines Day! We made some Valentines cards that are super easy to make. Overall it was a great start to February!

DIY Heart Wall Decor
This past week I made two Valentines Crafts out of empty toilet paper rolls, the first was this one actually but I ended up posting the DIY Heart Wreath first. I am so in love with this Heart because it has been up on the wall the whole week and adds a great touch to the room.
Here's how you can make one for you:
Materials:
4 to 5 empty rolls of toilet paper to be on the safe side
paint with paintbrush
scissors
hot glue gun with glue
old newspaper to cover your work area
Directions:
Lay out your newspaper and decide how big of a heart you want to make. My first time making this I cut the toilet paper rolls first and made the design to see how it would look but now having done 2 of these I recommend you to please paint the toilet paper rolls first and let them dry. It is so much easier if you paint first!
After the paint is dry cut each toilet paper roll into 5 pieces as even as possible. Recreate the shape now and start hot gluing
Let the glue hold tight and admire your Heart! Hang it up to make a statement of love on your wall and ta-da! Valentines decor on your wall is done!
Check out my other Valentines craft I made this week here:

Bargain shopping fun
This week after the rain passed we finally left the house and went shopping! I was lucky enough to have won a gift card to Goodwill, its one of my favorite places to shop for bargains so this was exciting!
Here are some of the awesome finds from this week:
My favorite place to start is the books! I Love Books! I'm a bookaholic....
I literally try to look at every single title afraid I'll miss something. I ended up finding some really cute kids books and even coloring books.
I picked up a couple of photo albums to hopefully have fun with (ideas brewing)
I found a ton of really awesome Christmas items that were half off. I know! Half off the low prices they already have, it was a steal. This cute Christmas baker was only $2! and all those new packages you see of Christmas items they were 25 cents each!
Anyone here a teacher? Or even a parent trying to organize there desk or kids arts supplies well there were so many cute containers and bins and more to help you along.
Lastly kids clothes! If you have a little one then you know how fast they grow out of clothes. So a tip from me would be to shop at Goodwill for kids clothes. Everything 5T and under is 99 cents! Baby clothes is a great bet. They don't walk around yet so how dirty can they get? I saw a bunch of items still with tags! We took home some cute clothes for munchkin and if I wouldn't have told you, you would have thought I bought it new.
Whens the last time you went shopping at goodwill? Items are being constantly brought out so its like shopping at a new store very time!
Disclosure: I won a Goodwill Gift card and was not asked to write about my shopping experience. All opinions are my own.

If you like getting ahead of the season well they have a huge shelf covered in baskets. You can use them for Easter baskets or even make your Valentine a neat basket full of goodies. They even had Heart cutouts!

Valentines Day DIY Hearts (Recycled Toilet paper roll crafts) Wreath
Just yesterday we finished picking up all the Christmas decorations and now there is about a month left until Valentines day! Yep, hard to believe it but Valentines Day is almost here and its a perfect reason to get the house out of the ordinary(boring right now that there's no decorations) to being in the Valentines Lovey dovey mood.
I wanted to make something with materials found at home so I used toilet paper rolls to create this special hanging decor.
Materials:
- Toilet paper rolls (5 to be on the safe size)
- paint and paintbrush
- scissors
- colorful paper or plain white paper to color on
- glue stick
- glue gun with glue
- newspaper to layout to cover your work area while painting
Start by painting your toilet paper rolls inside and out so that the color you choose will be on evenly because if you do this after it is too hard to get in the creases (trust me) Put them off to your side to air dry. I drew on the newspaper my circle size I wanted so I could use it to estimate how many toilet paper rolls I would need to cut and to base my heart size off of so that when I did add the hearts it would be sized appropriately.
While the paint dried I used some scrap paper to freehand hearts in different sizes. I then cut out those hearts and traced the shape onto scrapbooking paper I had (you could also use regular white paper and color the hearts in with markers/crayons and put cute words), cut and glued them onto cardboard to make it more sturdy. Then cut those out to use
When the paint was dry I cut the rolls into 5 pieces each as even as I could. I then laid them out to how my circle would fit. I then began gluing the toilet paper roll pieces end to end with my hot glue gun carefully holding them into place to bend them into the circular shape
After I had made my circle I let it rest to dry so as to not add weight to it too quickly. I then hot glued on my hearts and let it get sturdy. I hanged it up on my wall with simple thumb tacks in 3 locations to balance the weight.
I'm happy with the final product. I used things I had already available at home and I'm happy to use something as ordinary as a empty toilet paper roll and give it new life. Its always good to re-purpose things so I keep boxes and containers because at the end of the day its free crafting supplies and who doesn't love free?
