Planning our Summer fun with the San Antonio Childrens Museum Discovery Camps

Disclosure: This post is being sponsored by The San Antonio Childrens Museum. All thoughts and opinions are still all my own.

Schools almost out and that means our kiddos will be home all day and we need to find something fun to occupy them in NOW before summer sneaks up on us! But I know that for many parents its not just about ways to occupy them but also ways to stimulate there minds with fun and creative new things.

This is where the San Antonio Childrens Museum comes in. This summer they are offering STEM based Discovery Camps that are different every week. They offer ways to Discover, Explore, create and Learn while in an air conditioned safe environment which is a perfect way to escape the summer heat that we Texans know all too well.
For parents who work and struggle with camp schedules they are also offering before and aftercare to make this experience go by even more smooth!

They have special promotions going on such as A 10% sibling discount, a 10% discount when you sign up for 5 or more weeks of camp and a 10% refer a friend discount. They are even running a contest starting mid-May for a free week of camp so be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay in the loop!

Heres a bit more of information on these awesome summer Discovery Camps:
What plans do you have for this summer? Have you ever been to the San Antonio Childrens Museum with your little ones or done any of there camps? Hope you check them out and Happy summer planning!

I leave you with this video introducing The Do Seum! What is the Do Seum? Why its the next phase in the San Antonio Childrens Museum coming in 2015. Be sure to check it out and get just as excited about it as I am, because me and my kiddo cant wait!

Checking out The 7th Annual Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive

This past weekend we went to The 7th Annual Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive for the very first time. I didnt know what to expect and was greatly surprised with a fun time with cattle, horses and more. To make it even better I even got to touch a horse! This event helped kick off the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and it was the prefect way to get San Antonio in the Rodeo mood, which you could tell from the people decked out in Cowboys boots and hats that San Antonio was ready!

Here are some pictures from the Parade and Cattle Drive
We even saw Miss Rodeo Texas !
The parade was about an hour long but felt much quicker with so many people and animals going by. I also want to add in that I was very happy to see the students from John Jay High School out there walking behind the animals and cleaning up. Its a job no one wants to do and they were very awesome and cheerful along the route and even the crowd recognized them as they passed with claps and cheers. The Animals along the route were amazing and seeing all the flags along the route made my heart very happy. As a local from San Antonio I cant believe I haven't been to the parade before. Now more than ever I know this will become a tradition for years to come. I recommend it for all the locals and even more so for the tourists who come into town for the Rodeo.

Now Lets Rodeo San Antonio!

Seaworld Christmas Celebration 2013

This year we were extra excited about heading to Seaworld for there Christmas celebration. Why? This year Seaworld brought snow to Texas! Yep, with Snow World Seaworld got to give us Texans something most of us have never experienced...the ability to play in snow and even tube slide down it!

Check out all the fun we had this year at Seaworlds Christmas Celebration!
I just love these trees!
Candy cane Forest is always one of my favorite areas!
I loved this new addition to the celebration with this Beautiful Nativity!
A giant snow glove that families can get into and take special holiday photos are truly unique!
Snow! Yep, my kiddo made a tiny snowman and snow balls and even slide down a snow area
I loved the nostalgic Christmas celebration here
 Amazing Christmas trees!
These giant lights and ornaments were fun photo opportunities!
How could you not take a ride on the train? They even gave us these adorable tickets that make you feel like your on the Polar Express.
Doesn't it look like a fun trip? We cant wait for next year!

Fiesta Texas San Antonio fun

This summer I was lucky enough to win tickets to Six Flags Fiesta Texas thanks to the lovely Christina Coker from Champagne Taste on A Beer Budget. Unfortunately we didn't get to use them until September! But that didnt stop us from having fun. We actually hadn't been to Fiesta Texas in about 5 years so a lot of the areas were new to us and just right for my kiddo!

Here are some photos from our fun day at Fiesta Texas and in case you are wondering whats with all the monsters well it was the weekend before they started the Halloween celebration so a lot of decorations were already out.
It was a bunch of fun and my kiddo got on a ton of rides! It was a great way to spend some time out together and relax while doing something new. I would definitely check it out if you have roller coaster lovers in your family!

Have you ever been to Fiesta Texas San Antonio?
