Play and Learn at Carver Library

This week we started a new Play and Learn at a Library we had never been to. We woke up bright and early Monday morning to get there. It was very cold this Texas morning but munchkin was happy and ready to play! The new location was Carver Branch Library . Its a small yet cozy library once you go inside.

They have a nice corner dedicated to the kids. I love it! We heard a story "Leaf Man" By: Lois Ehlert (the kids were a little distracted but its a beautiful book with pictures that are precious). We then went off to do activities. Here's a glimpse of the activities:

Munchkin had lots of fun and made a new friend. He enjoyed blowing paint bubbles and running around. I love that there are programs like this that are free and open to the public. We as parents need to take advantage of these programs. We don't know how long programs like this could have funding, especially if there are not enough people participating.

We had fun discovering  a new area of our city, a library we hadn't been to and today on our first day of this new Play and Learn we did not have a huge attendance so I do ask you to please share the info with other parents who have children not in school so maybe if they are free Monday mornings and in the area they can participate. Its a great free program where as you play you learn.

Play and Learn at Carver Branch Library meets every Monday this month at 10 am -11:30 am at 3350 E Commerce St. 78202. There are also Play and Learn sessions at Igo Library as well as Central Library happening right now so check them out. Hope to see you there!
